Teaching
As a faculty member in the College of Motion Picture Arts at Florida State University, I offer undergraduate and graduate courses on film and animation history, contemporary cinema, documentary film, and film aesthetics.
I have also taught a range of undergraduate courses focused on Japanese cinema and popular culture in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics and routinely offered graduate courses to students in the East Asian Languages and Cultures Program and the Department of Art History. These include seminars on Japan's visual culture and contemporary art history, and on film theory and aesthetics.
